    Most people who care about getting optimal gear are also the same people who care about purple, it's a fun way of being competitive without hauling your butt through a terrible pvp system.

    Wait, class specific gems can roll with the wrong type of damage? I feel like that's an oversight and somebody probably just missed that. I'm sure they will fix that soon.

    That's what they want though. They want it to take a long time for people to get what they want. That way more people are more likely to spend $ as a shortcut. Only to level up a gem and then later find out that the gem they had actually has the lowest stats possible... sure they are the stats you wanted but the actual numbers as lower than they could be. -.-

    This is becoming similar to the diablo grind and i like that. the randomized stats mean the power rank leaderboards will give players without capped mastery a chance to get ahead for once.

    I do agree that for Class-Specific Gems you shouldn't be able to get magic damage for physical classes and vice versa, it would be very odd as it is. :x

    RNG = Good to play a game longer, however with all the rng elements already being added they really should not let phys classes get magic damage and vice versa. It would be a complete waste of time lol.

    RNG is fine guys.

    RNG filled with RNG, with a little RNG on top of it though is just asinine. DO NOT do this. NOBODY has EVER enjoyed rolling multiple dice like this. This isn't Elder Scrolls where we can clearly see what we can loot off enemies before we can try to make a grab at it (talking purely equipment, obviously). Then adding on an extra set of dice to see wether it's enchanted or not to boot. Granted... in Elder Scrolls... these stats are already predetermined by the game through various dice rolls and respawn sweeps, but this should get my point across at least.

    It's more where you apply RNG reliance that counts.
    In combat, a % chance to do something per hit or whatever is fun, and on the reverse side of that a dungeon generating and rolling all the hardest enemies and bosses is fun too despite it not being in your advantage.
    Applying it as a reward for basically anything isn't so great. You've done the work, got the materials, and you go to craft - oh whoopsie daisy, RNG rolled bad and now you consumed all those materials and made no progress at all. So what the hell did I do the work for, then? When I have all the things I need it should have the expected result - not act as a lottery ticket that may or may not require you to go back and do all the crap you just did again.

    so yeah, all in all screw the insane amounts of rng that get added. Didn't they learn from rings? :P
    I am still fine with the normal gems somewhat since they are easy to get but the class gems rolling ******ed stats are a total no-go.
