That was a small hotfix, not the actual patch. The actual patch starts in circa 2 hours from this post.

They turn into whatever block they're next to. Meaning things like sand, snow, trees, neon grass, and other irreplicateable blocks can finally be replaced.

So I had this thought about the mimic cubes. If you find a color in an adventure world you should be able to create a string of mimic cubes to get it on your cornerstone. But theres no way to bring that into your club world.

I know Avarem talked about the possibility of an eyedropper tool. What if we had eyedropper blocks where you could just create a stack of them, have them selected in build mode, hold E and the stack would turn whatever color you had the ghost block placed next to. This way we could actually get colors from no build areas like the towers.

Wait, does that actually work? So anyone with Mimic Cubes in their inventory basically owns all possible colors of the game for their cornerstone?
I know a few of my friends who'll be very happy to hear this. :P

Not all colors, it doesn't seem to mimic anything on or within a dungeon.

It will also not mimic (as far as I have tested) most blocks on anything premade in the game like ship blocks or structures etc.

This block seemed like it had such promise and utility. Alas, it's just a glorified "tree and ground" fixer. Nothing more.

Such a shame really as Trove is so very very lacking in the creation department and too much focused on weapon skins, costumes, mounts etc. (Basically anything you can throw into a chaos chest for money making.)

The sheer idea of a voxel game screams creation and building. But Trove has taken this to the back seat in favor of other things. This is why we have such a lackluster block variety, a very small selection of craftable objects for customization etc. Sad times..
