    [Mount Collection] Zoo Bakery (Cookie Animals)

    || Zoo Bakery ||
    A menagerie of cookie critters baked fresh for you!

    Free Cookies! Please, take one, or six!

    ================================================== ====

    So, I've been itching a do a project like this for a while. This series of cookie mounts are a spin-off from my Cookiephants I made a while back. I tried to stick to a strict theme of particular cookies and particular animals. This was a little more difficult then I expected, considering it's a bit like a construction project, but I'm pretty happy with all the models.

    In total, there are half a dozen (six) unique models, with a few color variations as well for fun. I tried to diversify the models as much as I could so people could use the mounts easily in-game. There aren't planned effects for the mounts, mostly because all the mounts I used as based have no effects, and I think it's perfectly fine like that.

    As always, feel free to leave suggestions/ideas/additions/subtractions/etc.

    Lore:

    Somewhere, in Candoria, the best of bakers, most creative of cooks, frostiest of frozen treats lives in its Pastery Palace high in the cotton candy clouds. This baking being is known as Eis-Crom, the patron of the Candy Barbarians. It spends its life in its grand kitchen of wonders, baking fresh batches of Candorian citizens everyday. They are then delivered by catering truck chariot pulled by whipped cream pegasus to the tiny town of Bakery.

    Bakery is, in essence, the place where all Candorians are born. Happy couples come from far and wide, sending orders by way of Eis-Crom's messengers up to the Pastery Palace for their new sugary bundles of joy.

    Occasionally, Eis-Crom has brief breaks from their orders to make brand new treats. The Cookiephants that roam in pairs of pink and blue around the sugar savannahs were originally created by Eis-Crom to celebrate the wedding of two well-known rulers, the Cupcake Caliph and Sundae Cenobite.

    One day, Eis-Crom was particularly bored, deciding that the lonely Cookiephants might need some animal friends. It baked and baked, calling upon several recipes which had never been used. When the batch went into the giant pink oven, Eis-Crom felt quite accomplished. The planned dozen turned into half a dozen because of an unfortunate explosion on the second part of the baking, as even the patron of baking can have issues with their equipment.

    The particularly adorable animals were delivered specially to the parade of Cookiephants on the plains. This, of course, surprised the Cookiephants, but also delighted them. They all trotted, galloped, scuttled, slithered, and trekked everywhere together in a happy little cookie family. There were so many new cookie animals in Candoria now that some particularly crafty Candorians built a cookie zoo, welcoming travelers far and wide to see the new critters.

    = Blue and Pink Macaron Cookie Crabs =

    History of the Cookie (From http://www.madmacnyc.com/history-of-macarons): "The Macaron cookie was born in Italy, introduced by the chef of Catherine de Medicis in 1533 at the time of her marriage to the Duc d'Orleans who became king of France in 1547 as Henry II. The term "macaron" has the same origin as that the word "macaroni" -- both mean "fine dough". The first Macarons were simple cookies, made of almond powder, sugar and egg whites. French Macaron cookies have been nationally acclaimed in France and remain the best-selling cookie in pastry retail stores."

    = Sugar Cookie Giraffe =

    History of the Cookie (From http://www.cookcfb.org/articles/entr...sugar-cookie): By definition, a sugar cookie is consists of sugar, flour, butter, eggs, vanilla, and either baking powder or baking soda. Sugar cookies may be formed by hand or rolled and cut into shapes. They are commonly decorated with frosting, sprinkles, or a combination of both. They can also be cut into decorative shapes and figures. In North America, sugar cookies are popular during the holidays of Christmas and Halloween. The modern incarnation of the authentic sugar cookie can be traced back to the mid 1700s in Nazareth Pennsylvania. There, German Protestant settlers created the round, crumbly, buttery cookie that came to be known as the Nazareth Sugar Cookie.

    = Sandwich Cookie Hippo =

    History of the Cookie (From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cookie): Sandwich cookies are rolled or pressed cookies that are assembled as a sandwich with a sweet filling. Fillings include marshmallow, jam, and icing. The Hydrox or Oreo cookie, made of two chocolate cookies with a vanilla icing filling, are examples. Hydrox derived its name from the atoms comprising water. In 1908, the creators of the cookie were looking for a name that would convey "purity and goodness." Since water is known for those qualities, they developed the name from the elements making up a water molecule. Market research later determined that the name was not well received and was more evocative of cleaning solutions than cookies.

    = Blue and White Gingerbread Cookie Peacocks =

    History of the Cookie (From http://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-c...0265/?no-ist): Gingerbread was a favorite treat at festivals and fairs in medieval Europe—often shaped and decorated to look like flowers, birds, animals or even armor—and several cities in France and England hosted regular "gingerbread fairs" for centuries. Ladies often gave their favorite knights a piece of gingerbread for good luck in a tournament, or superstitiously ate a "gingerbread husband" to improve their chances of landing the real thing. The sweet-and-spicy treat flavored by a lumpy little root known as ginger is a ubiquitous celebrity in fall and winter, starring in everything from cute cookies and overpriced lattes to edible construction projects. You can even buy gingerbread-scented mascara or dog shampoo, if you really can't get enough of the stuff.

    = Lime Pinwheel Cookie Snake =

    History of the Cookie (From http://www.kingarthurflour.com/blog/...rry-cousins/): "A fresh Medjool date with a filling of cream cheese and some chopped nuts is one of the nicest things on earth. And at holiday time, it’s just not right unless a batch of Date Pinwheels (or two) gets made. They’re the perfect do-ahead cookie, because they need to be rolled and chilled before slicing. And they can certainly be made up and frozen, up to 2 months in advance. Typically, the swirl shaped cookies are filled with dates, pecans, or cranberries. Their origins are rather unknown, but they've been a tradition for generations in many families"

    = Chocolate Striped Cookie Tiger =

    History of the Cookie: Originally thought up by the Keebler company sometime in the 1980s, the cookie consists of a shortbread ring base with a thick chocolate layer on the bottom and perfectly paralell chocolate stripes over the top. Today, there are several flavor combinations, including Red Velvet, Cookies and Cream, and Oatmeal.
