    This seems beyond fishy.

For one, Trove does not have mods and most likely will never have mods. It is a MMO after all, A lot of information is run on their servers so I don't even see how this is possible or will ever be possible unless someone created some kind of modded server of their own and their own client ect, all of which would more then likely be illegal anyway.
    1. Yes fishy obv almost everything new like this is fishy to a lot of people - Source code released for how this program works - https://github.com/lbjdaking23/Trove-Mod-Loader
    2. Trove does not have support for mods but does not mean you can not modify the game.
    3. Yes you will not be able to run your own servers or anything like that. This is more for client UI mods which tons of MMOs have. Picture of the example from the OP post - http://i.imgur.com/29EvSCi.jpg
    4. Own client and server would probably be illegal. But UI mods are completely fine as asked by Avarem - http://i.imgur.com/gqYQQpP.png
    5. Right now working on a youtube tutorial on how to actually start making UI mods and then hopefully from there we will fine more stuff that we can mod and is supported by the devs.

this seems nice and quite useful, but i think it'd be best to wait till someone well known can confirm that it is safe, a mod or a dev preferably

Sorry if I came across mean it just stuck out wrong in my mind, it was the first thing I looked at when I woke up.

Good to know about the modded UI, makes sense that that would be allowed.

Again sorry if I came across harsh, it's just when I saw it it seemed off for whatever reason, I guess in my just woken up mind I pictured little timmy logging on with expectations of mods from previous games and finding out the harsh reality that is internet sometimes D:

If it's legitimate I don't see any issues, leaving to school now so I can't confirm anything but I'll take a look at it later.

Searching through Avarem's posts shows he never commented on a thread about modding. Just gonna throw that out there. A forum search also produces no thread with the topic "Question about modding."

Searching in the forums is broken atm, try going to his profile and clicking "view posts"

Hey all. While we haven't vetted this particular piece of software (and likely will never fully endorse any 3rd party tools - which are entirely 'use at your own risk'), we do embrace the community modding the game client as long as it doesn't negatively impact the play experience of other players.

There will likely come a day when we will need to take a stance on some aspects of modding the client, but in the meantime our feeling is that, like the rest of the game, the more you guys want to do with it the better. Specifically when it comes to the UI if you can present the information we're sending down in a better/prettier way than we do, feel free to go for it.
