healer. Rather than all class able to revive other players (which seems like nobody really uses) into a skill of a healer and give it only healing skill. 2nd skill could be recharging all nearby player's health to full. Its way of attack is only basic attack that is a ray of light. Even though it's weak, It has a chance of getting purified and vanish.

    Name: Valkyrie

    Damage type: Physical

Class type: Melee ~ Shield and sword

LMB: Basic sword swing, possibly every fourth strike would be a stab instead of a swing (nothing different in damage, just something different for the attack animation.)

RMB: blocks 50% of incoming damage, while this is active, the character moves slightly slower.

Dodge animation: Shoulder roll forwards (no pause like with Vanguardian because it’s annoying.)

    Purging Strike:
1.) When activated, the character points the sword outwards. Then, a large fireball is launched from the sword of the character (this ability can be aimed like a dragon or ships fireballs).

EFFECT: Damages enemies in and AoE. After impact, leaves behind a small pool of lava (roughly covering 9 blocks in total) that damages enemies in it (this ability does not break blocks and will not harm other players).

    Fire Storm:
2.) ULTIMATE: A turret is spawned that is mounted by the character. While on the turret, the character can shoot in a 360 degree, but is stationary to where the ultimate is activated.

EFFECT: The projectiles cause a burning effect on enemies, causing them to take extra damage after being hit. Players within a certain radius of the character will gain energy regen, and an increased to damage. Enemies within the radius will be slowed and take damage over time.

    PASSIVE: Elysia’s Wrath
Melee attack have the chance of setting enemies on fire. Enemies that die from this ability restore some of your health. In addition, you take no damage to lava (similar to Dracolyte.) and receive a boost in damage when attacking enemies on fire (the fire can be caused by any source, not just the passive.)

    Subclass: Flaming Hero
Passive ability: Players with this subclass gain health from being in fire/lava
Added bonus: The player will receive increases to their stability stat

(both passive and subclass will not be allowed in pvp, for obvious reasons)

Looks: This character will be based around the theme of the sun goddess, so the color schemes will be yellows, golds, whites, greens (like the Sunseekers) and or possibly light blues (more for a secondary color.) Also, the body style will be similar to the Vanguardian, in that it is taller than the other characters.
The shield will look like Trove’s version of the sun for the sun goddess, similar to what is on the back of the mount “seat of the sun” excluding the light blue squares around it and will be filled instead of opened in the center. In addition, it will look simplistic at the earlier levels, and increase in detail for each new level costume.

Possible lore: The Valkyrie is a Trovian (or Geodian) that has been (or is with) the Sunseekers, either the Valkyrie left Geode or is still there and has come to Trove to help as thanks for the Trovians helping out Geode.

NOTE: Please offer any and all suggestions, I am open to anything. I figure that haven a sun goddess themed character to play as in Trove would be really cool, also I enjoy the classic sword and shield type characters. Also since the LL is basically Moon themed, I figure a sun themed character would be a nice balance.

Could some mod PLEASE lock this post. It has died and been necro-posted no less than six times. Stop putting new ideas in old threads, it's counterproductive to adding anything to the conversation, and only serves to further spread confusion.

If any of these ideas were worth consideration, they would have made their own posts where they could be seen on their own merit instead of commandeering and necro-posting in an old and abandoned thread.
Plus the 'new devs' aren't in any position to be designing any new classes any time soon. They'd need to re-write quite a bit of the base engine before they attempt to add another class with how archaic Trove's engine has become.

Why spam forums with class idea when you can put it all in one thread?

Because posting an idea in it's own thread means that it will actually get seen. The vast majority of people who accidentally click a necro-post don't bother to look at the comments. There is no justification for posting ideas in dead threads.

    Cool New, easy characters

With the downsizing of trion to gamigo, trove will experience less new content. Thus, creating new characters will be a hard feat, but a crutial one to keep the game. With the expansion of geode and the geode surface, trove is heading in the direction of more geode content. While the geode caves were a flop, they did introduce the more ‘trove’ content known as geode topside. If gamigo wishes to follow this geode theme, they will probably want to add something like a geode character. Some ideas for it is that it only can be used in geode caves ir topside, or it can be used in all worlds, but it has a buff in geode worlds. Now, back to the cut back. Building a bew character model will take time, so why not do what trove does best? Recycle old content. I would like to propose a new character idea. A character small, but packing major heat. The character model for the small yellow guy in the geode hub that hangs behind the moonglow grotto could be used. Please leave your thoughts.

    Class suggestion: Kitty

Let me copy this here from another Topic

Trove already exists for so many years, but for some reason one thing never got implemented. Never added. Never cared. A bug? Just forgotten?

You know what it is about:

    Kitties !!! =^.^=

This is a suggestion for a Cat-resembling class, which focus is meely and pseudo-ranged DPS with a good chunk of stealth. Just think of it as a Catgirl, which stands on its back paws and attacks with its front paws.

While coming up with this class, it was important for me to have something that deals damage on one side, but make it not too straight-forward into a dumb button-holding until the enemy dies. This class should evolve its highest potential if the player playing this class has a higher player skill and knows how to take the maximum out of this class.

Kitties are using claws of course.

Enough introduction, here are the Skills:

Passive: Backpawing (word mix of backstabbing and paws):
Each damage done by Kitty will be 4x higher (number debatable) if an enemy is damaged from behind. Additionally, only a trail of paw-footprints will be visible if Kitty is invisible (this refers to the 1-Button ability).

    Left click: Scratching Claws:
Kitty uses its claws to scratch (and bite?) enemies in close range. Attacking would use differend hands... ahem... paws at one time to give more varity in its default attack pattern.

Right click: Jyamp (Word mix Jump + Nyan):
Kitty performs a jump forward damaging bypassed enemies. While landing, Kitty deals a small AoE impact which deals double (maybe higher multyplyer) damage.

Note: Because of its extra damage, you would like to aim your jump distance so that your jump will end at your main target for most damage.

    1-Button: Stalking:
After holding down this button for 1 second (this limitation is debatable), Kitty will become invisible for 4 seconds. Enemies with no other targets around will act as if everything just died and return to their default position - and effectively leaving their back wide open for Kitties to scratch at. While moving, Kitty will leave a trail of visible Paw-footprints (thanx to the passive ability).

Invisibility will end early after Kitty performed an attack.
This ability has a cool down of 10 seconds.

2-Button, Ultimate: Those Active 5 Minutes:
Each Cat owner knows that even the cutest sleepy kitty angel got that active time at a day when it is running havoc and runs around with more energy than you can handle. Kitties need extraordinary care during that time and in the next moment they are safe and sound sleeping anywhere again as if nothing ever happened. Usually aside or inside a huge mess they caused.

    Skill description:
For 10 seconds, Kitty recives an immense buff in a wide range of stats:
-Between each left-click attack, Kitty will add an additional strike
    -Base Damage is increased
    -Movement Speed is increased
-Kitty recives a minor incoming damage reduction
-All skills have reduced cool downs (does not affect this ability itself)
-All skills are performed twice as fast
-Health- and Energy regeneration are greatly increased

It is an overpowered offensive ability, but it comes along with a huge drawback: At the moment when this active effect ends after 10 seconds, Kitty will fall asleep, unable to move or attack or use skills for 5 seconds.

    Class Gem: Adorable Little Sleeper:
This class gem will add an additional effect to the ultimate. While Kitty is sleeping, nearby monsters will become charmed for 4 seconds by the sleeping Kitty after beeing 1 second in range. Charmed enemies are unable to attack, but are not limited in other actions - like moving. This effect does work as a taunt, so charmed monsters will cluster around the sleeping kitty yet unable to attack it.

Note 1: It is possible that an enemy enters the range of charming effect after Kitty already slept for a few seconds. In this case, Kitty will wake up before that enemy loses its charming effect. In other words: Kitty can attack an enemy that does not fight back.

Note 2: On the other side, enemies can be in charming range at the moment when Kitty falls alseep. Those enemies will stop beeing charmed at the same moment when Kitty wakes up. This does instantly leave Kitty with a cluster enemies around whose are ready to attack poor Kitty.

Note 3: Note, that Only the Ultimate ability with class gem does has a taunting effect. Without class gem, no taunting does happen.

Kitty can be played solo or in groups, though its best potential comes most likely in group play.

Kitty uses Jyamp from range at enemies that turn their back to Kitty, and uses Stalking to prepare the next Jyamp. When skills are on cool down or if Kitty is low on energy, Kitty will either use normal attacks to get more hits done or... just runs around frantically. Using the Ultimate Ability will be the finishing move that kills the enemy. The Ultimate Ability is ideally just activated when it is garantueed that an enemy dies during its uptime, due to its harsh drawback.

    Group play:
Playing in groups will swap the use rate of normal attacks and Stalking, since monsters will face a tank and Kitty does not need to force enemies to turn away via Stalking. Kitty can just scratch and slice the backs of careless foes who dare to look at the tank instead of Kitty. For more damage, Kitty will use Jyamp as often as possible due to its extra damage behaviour which is multiplicative to Kitty's passive Backpawing. Kittie's Ultimate needs to be carefully used if the Class Gem is epquipped. Either Jyamp out of range just before the active time ends, or have a tank that knows how to drag enemies away from sleeping Kitties. Strong Kitties can also safe lives to weaker friends around by charming enemies into uselessness - well, for 4 seconds at least.
