    Post Trove Livestream Notes 03/08/2018

    Welcome to the latest live stream notes thread!

    Tonight the team discussed the upcoming Improvements update which will include a load of quality of life fixes and is due out this coming Tuesday.

    Currently in Trove: The missing Luxion event
    Current quest chain 2 weeks long with daily log in rewards and down the line the ability to get more Luxion souls to craft your own version of the grand one himself.

    Some key points to note that were mentioned:
    The Ice sage has had an extra fix to it which wont come out that day but will after, just to increase the damage.

    Bomber royale changes coming up will allow you once dead to spectate the match and hop from player to player.

    /stats will track damage done and a new scoreboard to track from matches.
    You will also get more xp for being active and damaging.

    Kill credit will be assigned even if the enemy player falls off or dies via lava.

    There's now a map in the geode sanctuary which may help more for new players and maybe even some old.

    160 new styles will arrive with the update too which is nice news for those who have many of the unlockers saved.

    The team mentioned how they are actively working on Geode's phase 2 which includes Uber10. That includes the combat element for all those wantign a bit of bloodshed.

    Return of Trove Twitch drops will be back on the 10th August for the Trove Magic Carpet mount.

    Questions and Answers Session:

    Why are there no new fists styles for vanguardian in this update?
    Its because we accepted all the player submitted ones and there werent any fist styles in that group when they were accepted.He's still new so relatively got most of his styles when heroes was released. There will be some with u10 and a new costume too.

    What is the next rework class?

    Tomb raiser is the next class. It wont come out with uber 10.

    When is Chloromancer due for its rework?
    No date for this but its not one of the immediate next ones.

    How much power rank will be needed for uber10?
    Were not going to reveal that yet, it will come in the coming weeks.

    Whats going to come with u10?
    Well talk more about it in the next coming weeks but there will be a new gem type.

    When does the extra life pack come out?
    As there were so many requests of creations for it, its been divided into 2 packs, first one is August 7th, maybe 8th for consoles and the second part will be later this year.

    Can you please fix the companion stats because now the common and rare give the same stats but a different order?
    Clarification: Common, uncommon and rare companions intentionally have the same stats as base but they will upgrade differently, when upgrading you will see the difference. It is intentional, we don't want them to be vastly different in terms of power from common-rare.
    If one is exactly the same, let us know.

    Any idea to allow re-rolls on empowered gems effects into the effects we want.If not, any rework or look into the less used empowered gems effects?
    No plans for that right now since were focused on the new gems in u10. Rerolling effects would be a pretty huge undertaking.
    Let us know what you feel the less popular gem effects are and give us an idea/feedback on them.

    Keeping the future class reworks in mind, will you ever bring the Dino Tamers old class gem with a Luxion visit?
    No, its dead and buried.

    Any plans to release an update, that will tweak / fix minions AI generally?
    No plans to tweak or fix right now. is there anything in particular you are looking for to get addressed. Its not troves goal to have an overall complex AI though.
    With regards to tomb raiser minions, maybe the rework will look into that.

    Will the ability of the candy barbarian be corrected by 1, because during the damage it takes off into the air ?
    I dont know, will look into it.

    Any plans to rework or add new Empowered Gem Abilities, Emblems, Flasks, Rings?
    No plans in the near future for that rework but this would be a good forum thread. So if you have ideas for that please feel free to post a thread.

    Is there a known bug with Dino tamer cooldown for dino mount causing character to get stuck in "going to hub" animation?

    We have a fix for his ult in the improvements update.

    Why do rare companions give worse stats than the common/uncommon counterparts?
    If you could give us an example of ones you find worse, that would be good. The rare ones should be better, they give different levels of the stats when upgraded.

    Any plans to increase the chances of finding silver and gold eggs in the caves, they are literally impossible?
    They are not literally impossible. They are a very rare drop rate and we have no plans currently to change that.

    Would you ever consider adding a geode themes class?
    We'd certainly consider that. We have internally been discussing what the next class might be.

    Why does the vanguardian dab?
    Someone said dab once in the chat.

    How soon will we be seeing token allies like Lil Burgie in luxions rotation?
    He'll continue to bring back dayspring rewards like that one in his appearances.

    Now that you guys have discussed Geodes lore, are you planning on talking about Troves lore?
    Making sure the story is more to the forefront is something you'll continue to see in future releases and as we touch older content, that lore will become more clear. There's no current initiative for taking a wider pass at the older content as far as lore goes.

    Any plans to buff weaker classes?
    We have been going through the classes and buffing them. The ice sage was the most recent one buffed and the tomb raiser is next.

    In recent livestreams you have mentioned that in the u10 update you will be "increasing the combat compacity for some classes" (or something along those lines), what do you mean by this?

    Honestly, I dont remember what we said along those lines! Were building on established systems and we'll have more info on that in the coming weeks.

    Are you planning on replacing daily login tokens with something else?
    No plans right now but open to suggestions.

    When will Urmhalit the unforgiven be released?
    Working on tech with our platform team to allow is to reward him the way we want to.

    Any plans to increase despoiled divinity amount or add new ways to obtain it?
    Luxion might have some extra lying around in his hoard.

    When will you fix the low FPS problem on the geode hub?
    The improvements udpate has a number of performance improvements but no promises that the fps will eb fixed on all paltofrms. Overall improvement will be made and we will continue to work on it.

    Any plans to make the hype pinata EX be tradeable or loot collected?
    We will give them a decon value, not tradeable but yes a loot collect value.

    When can we expect the next mod acceptance?

    we are constantly accepting stuff, all those styles for example. We just did an acceptance of stuff like mounts and dragons. Its constantly being done.

    Will it ever be available in the future that you don't need to go into club worlds to accept new adventures from the fixtures?
    No, this gets asked nearly every week. We want you to go into club worlds therefore it will not be changing.

    Even though it would be beneficial for players and servers they want us to waste more time...

    I think it's fair if they want to keep the quests that way. If club quest ones get changed, people will demand consistency and outpost/geode quest should get similar treatment. Then they need to rework a lot of the quests to stop it from being "take these quest and get free reward from doing everything (like these geode quests)".

    Nobody is going to do that because those quests are perfectly fine. With Geode quests, the whole point is that you grab them once before starting a run and then accomplish the objectives throughout the run. With Outpost quests, finding the outposts is the hardest part, so making them grabbable without that would ruin it. Club quests are literally the only type of quest where having to grab it is purely inconvenient and not a legitimate part of the challenge.

    I literally can't understand why they are so stubborn about the quests. It's bizzare when you spend more time in loading screens than actually doing the quests, especially when it comes to the gem ones. Personally, i gave up on doing any quests as i spend less time actually completing them and more time switching worlds.
    And it's not like it's impossible - they clearly have the ability to make the quests portable, but they just won't do it because they won't. And it's being asked week after week after week...

    <3 shiro for the recap. one thing i would like to see, if possible, if you could add timestamps for when each question was answered, cuz its a pain to randomly click through the video trying to find the time when they actually answer them.

    Opened another 42 bronze eggs this morning without a rare (no rare to date). The sense of pride an accomplismnet when I finally get one will be immense, exactly as intended.
