    Crystal Caches

    Greetings, Trovians!

You’ll find a couple different types of Crystal Caches available in Trove – Geode and we wanted to share some info on the differences between the two and why you should care about them.

    Lesser Crystal Caches

Lesser Crystal Caches are earned by playing on the planet called Geode. Explore the caves beneath the surface and offer aid to the critters who need your help. These chests are granted directly to your inventory by the critters.

Opening Lesser Crystal Caches will commonly grant Crystals which are highly valuable resources used in all manner of Geodian crafting. The rare loot contained in these caches include Drillbits (for use in Crystallogy), Bronze Companion Eggs that can be hatched into Companions to aid you on your spelunking adventures, and Crystal Pinatas that you can use to throw piñata parties with friends or strangers alike!

    Greater Crystal Caches

These caches are chockfull of a wide assortment of goodies. Greater Crystal Caches are found on the Trove Store and help support future development of Trove – Geode and beyond.

The most common drops in these caches include resources needed in all manner of crafting; Crystals, Day Drops, Gleamstone, Builderite, and more!

Uncommon drops include Sun Sap, Cave Kelp, Moonstone, Blazine, Accelerite, Lodestars, and more.

Rare Greater Crystal Cache drops include bigger batches of Metamatter, Accelerite, and Lodestar. They can also drop Silver Companion Eggs, Space Expanders, or epic mounts.

Jump into Geode and commence collecting crystal caches today!

The lessers give so small amount of crystals that it dosen't matter and makes them feel not helpful at all.
The droprate for drillbit is so small that you will have completed every other thing in geode before you even have enough to craft 1 mount, it's a nice crystal loot tho.
By the time you get your first rare drop you will already be able to farm 10+ bronze eggs per cave, which makes it extremly sad to get a bronze egg over 5 crystal pins..

TL : DR it's barely worth to get lesser crystal caches, you have to spend time waiting for the critters to give you anything too.

And the greaters are so underwhelming in the loot they drop it's just sad and untill they improve I won't buy any more.

Despite the underwhelming items in the loot table for the greaters, IMO they should not just be locked to the credit shop, they should be rare drops from helped critters too. Much like the GTCs from Sunfest, it's like Trion wants to upset us.

Yeah if you don't get a rare then you can get more helping skittish critters depening on tie you can get from 27-95 crystals

    Opening 100 lesser box's i got,
    391 crystals no rares
    432 crystal's 5 pins
    418 crystals 5 pins 5 drill-bits
    412 5 pins
    398 5 pins
not bad don't normal get anything other then crystals

The bronze egg from a lesser box should be silver for how rare it is.

I'm just waiting for them to add dragon fragments to the box's and force people to play geode.

Maybe when they add the new critters they will have a different drop table.
