Can't get past this message and into the game. Old bug reintroduced?

My boyfriend and I are having the same sort of problem, but we're stuck at world login finished.

I finally managed to get in but then it froze and black-screened the console about 10 seconds in. Game is not playable like this. Needs to have emergency maintenance. Internet is sitting at 86MB/s down, 56MB/s up.

PSN servers came down recently. Where I live, they just came back up, but the servers where you are at may still be down.

The PSN service has been having issues for the last day or two. Right now (as I post this) they seem okay but keep an eye on this page for updates as issues mmay arise again.
