Post Who's the better tank.. Candy barbarian or revenant?

This is a discussion that I've seen being talked about in-game often. It's pretty even, and each side has logical arguments. I personally think that candy barbarian is the better tank, actually the best tank in the game by-far. My reasons are:
    -his m2 has insane lifesteal
-prowling shadow + lunar lancer subclass + rage induce gum drop = insane lifesteal w/ max attack speed
-he's a very good team player, his ultimate heals and gives attack speed to everyone near him
-his class gem basically is revenant's ultimate. he can hold enemies in a whirlwind as long as he can without any cooldowns.

    What do you guys think?

Candy Barbarian for organized end-game groups/speedruns, Revenant for random/"casual" play.

Candy Barbarian's vortex allows it to tank and it can buff the DPS of anyone else in the group, but it falls short in that it has no aggro skills whatsoever. Usually it just forces aggro through proximity, while everyone else plays something like Gunslinger and keeps far away.

In random clears out of ST chat, you'll find far fewer Gunslingers and far more random melee classes that would almost never be invited to organized end-game runs. Melee classes have a high risk of taking aggro off the Candy Barb as they're usually in equal proximity.

Revenant has no such issue due to its direct taunting abilities, and still a vortex on top of that. Unless someone else has a taunt of their own, a Revenant will never have issues with holding aggro, melee classes or not. It lacks Candy Barb's buffs, though, so CB is still better where Rev's superior aggro is redundant.

CB is the best tank in game right now, but please don't use M2 on non boss's it will just knock them away you are there to keep holding 1 between waves and dropping cones whenever you see it's best time to use it.

For example for speed runs like top 100 in ultra dotm, you don't even have time to M1 or M2 you are just there to get the initial boss agro and just keep potting to keep giving 100% attack speed buff to the 7 GS.

Revenant ulti is garbage right now it's really buggy and instead of keeping the mobs near the revenant it just keeps teleporting the mob back to it's original place all the time after every pull.

Ice Sage is pretty much one of the strongest tank class's outside speed running/floor clearing for 'BOSS' tanking, the reason is because of ice sage shield. Ice Sage is used mainly for tanking slow runs for DD because it's able to not die or take any damage if played well with the ice shield.

Knight is a pretty strong tank class since latest buffs as well, sadly it's missing that iconic pull skill like CB/Rev.

    Knight Updates
    • The basic melee attack for the Knight can now hit NPCs one block above or below
    • The Basic Attack for the Knight now does 117% more damage
    • Retribution now causes the Knight's basic attack to reduce target outgoing damage by up to 5%. Additional attacks refresh stacks of the debuff.
    • Smash energy cost has been reduced by 50%
    • Smash no longer has a knockback
    • Smash no longer has a stun effect
    • Smash now has a 3s taunt effect similar to the Empowered Revenant Gem, "Aegis Assault"
    • Charge now does 22% more damage
    • Charge now does damage when passing enemies
    • Charge now applies a taunt to all NPCs effected by the ability
    • Charge now applies a 1s stun to all targets that take damage
    • Iron Will energy cost has been reduced by 50%
    • Iron Will now reduces 50% of all incoming damage to the Knight (versus 75% previously)
    • Iron Will now reduces 10% of all incoming damage for 7 players within 8 blocks of the Knight
    • Iron Will now redirects 10% of all incoming damage to the Knight for up to 7 players within 8 blocks
    • Spirit Squire Class Gem Changes:
      • Cooldown time has been removed
      • No longer slows down the Knight when used, allowing for greater freedom of movement
      • Energy cost has been reduced
In the end pick what you like the most... unless you are doing speed runs then you must use CB for it.
