Assuming you are posting a picture from your computer, you must first upload it online. I recommend popular image sharing websites like Imgur for this.

Once you upload your picture from your computer to Imgur, you can find a series of text boxes on the right side of the page. Highlight the text under the "BBCode" heading (The text will start with [IMG]). Copy (Ctrl + C) the highlighted text, then Paste (Ctrl + V) the text into your post or reply.

Alternatively, if you are trying to post a picture from online, you can simply right-click the image, then click "copy image URL". From there, click the "Insert Image" button (looks like a tree portrait in a square frame) along the top of your posting box, and paste the URL into the popup box.

The image will then appear as it originally was, right in your post.

If you are having sizing issues, you can change the size of a picture on your computer by using a program such as Paint. Likewise, you can edit/resize pictures online with websites such as PicMonkey.

Here you go! (http://imgur.com/)

Just click the blue "Upload Images" button along the top of the page, and you will be prompted with various options to do so (such as uploading from your computer, pasting a URL you found online, etc.)

"Browse your computer" lets you directly upload a file or picture that is saved on your computer.

"Drag and drop" lets you open a folder and literally drag picture icons from the folder, into the dropping area and they will be uploaded. (I like to use this when uploading an album or a lot of images at once.)

The other two options I do not use as often as they are more niche, or redundant.
